This pitch competition is unlike anything else in Toronto! The presenter that impresses the jury will win a trip to Germany to pitch their idea internationally at the Falling Walls Lab Finale in BerlinApply Now!

Falling Walls Lab Toronto, hosted by University of Toronto, will take place on Aug 15th at MaRS. More information and applications for participation can be submitted on the website. The application deadline is July 31st, 2024. Even if you won’t apply this year, we kindly request your assistance in disseminating this call for applications to students and early-career professionals within your network.

Falling Walls Lab is a world-class pitch competition and networking forum that brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary pool of students and early-career professionals by providing a stage for breakthrough ideas both globally and locally. Our multifaceted formats support our participants in driving their innovations and developing their communication skills, fostering collaboration and creating a space for our impactful and sustainable community to thrive.

Falling Walls Lab Toronto is supported by the Temerty Faculty of Medicine with additional support from UofT’s Department of Cell & Systems Biology, the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute at Sinai Health and Life Sciences Ontario

Falling Walls Lab is organised by the Falling Walls Foundation and generously funded by the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (global finale) and Sartorius (international Labs). It is supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Research Foundation (DFG), and Springer Nature. 

The Falling Walls Foundation is a non-profit organisation in Berlin, dedicated to supporting science and the humanities. It is a unique international platform for leaders from the worlds of science, business and politics, the arts, and society.
