Possibilities & Refusals in Black Canadian Studies Symposium

Join colleagues and community members at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) campus as the Black Canadian Studies Association launch the Journal of Canadian Studies (JCS) Special Issue: “Nah! On the Possibilities of Ongoing Refusals in Black Canadian Studies”.

The symposium will include an engaging panel featuring the special issue’s contributing authors followed by an open engagement session for attendees to continue the conversation through moderated table discussions.

It will conclude with an evening reception to showcase local Toronto talent and Scarborough’s infamous Caribbean cuisine to create space for Black inclusion, togetherness, and celebration.
