Kin//Making: Creative Tools for Community as Practice

Event Overlay

Kin//Making is the inaugural hands-on workshop for culturally grounded sensory attunement and memory work from the Collaboratory for Collaboratory for Black Poiēsis (CBP).

For this two-part gathering, join the CBP in range of textile explorations intended for socially engaged Black and/or Indigenous students, emerging artists, and heritage/culture workers based in the GTA. This event will welcome other community-oriented anti-colonial and working-class students and makers of colour. These connected sessions gather kindred participants to explore imaginative strategies of Black study, aesthetic practice, and community stewardship.

Hosted by the Collaboratory for Black Poiēsis (CBP). No experience required and materials fully covered in this workshop.
