Introduction to Scopus AI and Web of Science Research Assistant to Explore Literature – CRIS

Event Overlay Student works on laptop

In 2024, the University of Toronto Libraries subscribed to new AI assistants in the popular scientific research databases Scopus and Web of Science.

This 1-hour webinar provides an introduction to the Scopus AI and Web of Science Research Assistant (RA) search engines. Participants will learn how these tools work; get familiar with their features and functions; and through a guided, hands-on exploration of the tools, practice using them and critically evaluating their output.

Presenters:

  • Erica Nekolaichuk, Faculty Liaison & Instruction Librarian, University of Toronto Libraries
  • Naz Torabi, Collection Coordinator, Sciences, University of Toronto Libraries

Intended audience: All members of the U of T community are welcome to attend this session to learn how these AI search engines work. However, please note that Scopus and Web of Science databases cover mostly science and interdisciplinary content.
