Demystifying the Scholarly Publication Process – CRIS

The Centre for Research & Innovation Support (CRIS) presents Demystifying the Scholarly Publishing Process, the next session in the CRIS-JHI Book Publishing Series.

This session focuses on the process of turning a book proposal into a published scholarly book. Featuring acquiring editors from University of Toronto Press (UTP ), a member of the UTP faculty manuscript review panel, and a faculty author, the speakers will share their insider knowledge about navigating the scholarly publishing process. Practical advice will be offered around how and when to approach an editor; how to identify a suitable press, and how to navigate peer review reports.
