Being A Scholar Activist: Challenges, Contradictions and Possibilities

On Nov. 24, join the Black Research Network (BRN) and its collaborators for an important webinar, “Being A Scholar Activist: Challenges, Contradictions and Possibilities.”

Given the uncertainty of the global political climate, we believe that this conversation is of great importance for researchers and scholars whose work is oriented towards social transformation. Dr. Laura Connelly (University of Sheffield) and Dr. Remi Joseph-Salisbury (University of Manchester) will give a joint keynote presentation, followed by a Q & A. 

This event is being hosted by Dr. Carl James, Jean Augustine Chair in Education, Community, and Diaspora; the Canadian Black Scientists Network (CBSN); the Canadian Sociological Association (CSA) Black Caucus (BCS-CSA), and the Black Research Network University of Toronto (BRN).
