A Celebration of Black History Through Music – Faculty of Music

You are cordially invited to a performance by the Faculty of Music Gospel Choir to celebrate Black History Month.

Join students from the Faculty of Music and the Toronto School of Theology as they take the audience on a musical journey with performances of African-American spirituals as well as traditional and contemporary gospel music pieces, accompanied by a dynamic gospel rhythm section.

Special guest appearances include the University of Toronto Chamber Choir and JUNO-nominated gospel recording artist, Patricia Shirley. The event is directed by Darren Hamilton, assistant professor in the Faculty of Music.

  • In-Person (SOLD OUT) – Admission will be first come, first served for seating. Doors open at 7:00 P.M.
