EDI in Cannabis & Cannabinoid Research – Toronto Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research Consortium

The Toronto Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research Consortium is seeking speakers to share new findings or planned studies at its workshop conference, “EDI in Cannabis & Cannabinoid Research.”

The two-day event will focus on a range of topics, including:

  • Cannabis use or harms among populations or communities historically under-represented in cannabis research (e.g., women; Black, Indigenous, and other people of colour; people with disabilities; sexual and gender minorities)
  • Health equity perspectives on cannabis legalization
  • Novel biomedical approaches to understanding equity-relevant diversity in responses to cannabinoids (e.g., animal models to examine sex or age differences in cannabinoid effects), etc.​​

The workshop will take place from April 22-23, 2025 at the University of Toronto.
