Assistant Professor – Molecular Biology and Genetics

The Department of Molecular Genetics in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto (St. George campus) invites applications for a full-time, tenure stream faculty position in Molecular Biology and Genetics.

The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2025.

Candidates are expected to have earned a PhD degree and have a minimum of one-year postdoctoral research experience in the broad area of Molecular Biology, Genetics, and related fields, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. The successful candidate will synergize with existing research strengths in the Department of Molecular Genetics and the Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research (Donnelly Centre) in model organism genetics, human genetics, cellular and molecular structure and function, molecular microbiology, computational and systems biology, and functional genomics and proteomics.
