Lab2Market Discover Cardiovascular

Lab2Market Discover Cardiovascular is a free training program designed for individuals interested in understanding the necessary steps to commercialize research and determining whether entrepreneurship is a path they can or should pursue.

The national program is offered in partnership between the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine and TRANSFORM HF.

Key Details:

• Over 10 weeks, participants from across Canada will have the opportunity to:
  • Gain insights into the commercial potential of their academic research
  • Hear from leaders in the field through fireside chats
  • Develop a new way of thinking—one that connects innovation to real-world problems.
• Held virtually, the program will run on Tuesdays, 1:00-2:30 PM ET, from February 10 to April 14, 2026.
• There will be a $500 prize for the participant with the best pitch at the end of the program.
• Applications are due January 12, 2026, 11:59 PM ET.

Who is Eligible?

• Current graduate-level and fourth-year undergraduate students enrolled in a Canadian university. 
• Post-doctoral and clinical fellows affiliated with any Canadian university or college. 
• Faculty, clinicians, and researchers affiliated with any Canadian academic institution or hospital.
