Call for Faculty and Principal Investigator Supervisors – 2025 Summer Undergraduate Data Science (SUDS) Opportunities Program

The Data Sciences Institute (DSI) is seeking supervisors for the 2025 Summer Undergraduate Data Science (SUDS) Opportunities Program.

Proposed research should be focused on data sciences methodology or applications in any research area. Research opportunities can include any aspect of basic, applied, or clinical research.

Faculty members and principal investigators who have one or more positions available for a summer student should complete and submit the online application by November 15, 2024.

Award Value

$7,200 will be provided by the Data Sciences Institute to the supervisor for the student. Any supplement above this level may be set at the supervisor’s or department’s discretion. 

Award Duration

12 full weeks in the summer term, between May 1 and August 15, 2025. Start dates and end dates are agreed upon for each student and supervisor.

Summer studentships will be available to undergraduate students enrolled at a Canadian university/college to carry out summer research. SUDS Summer research opportunities are available for up to 25 students. The list of SUDS opportunity descriptions will be posted on the DSI website on December 6, 2024, for student applications.
