2026 JHI SSHRC Grant Writing Bootcamp

The JHI SSHRC Grant Writing Bootcamp is back for its fifth year! If you’ve been meaning to apply for an Insight Grant or Insight Development Grant, this is your summer to do it.

Whether you’re applying for the first time or refining a previous submission, this bootcamp walks you through the most substantive sections of the application. You’ll hear from faculty colleagues who have received SSHRC funding, work with Research Officers, and get dedicated writing time, all in a collaborative, low-pressure environment. 

Core sessions run on Tuesdays. Optional Thursday sessions offer hands-on writing workshops and extra support. The bootcamp is open to all faculty members in the humanities and qualitative social sciences.
