Invisible Wounds: Stories of Survivorship – A Digital Storytelling Event

Event Overlay

On Sept. 13, join the Centre for Research & Innovation for Black Survivors of Homicide Victims (The CRIB) for an eye-opening evening as they bring to light the powerful stories of Black survivors of homicide victims and their resilience.

Funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) in collaboration with the Story Centre and key community-based organizations, The The CRIB led focus groups and engaged with African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) survivors of homicide victims in digital storytelling to understand the impact of murder on the wellbeing, coping strategies and unmet needs of ACB Canadian survivors of homicide victims in Toronto.

View their stories of survivorship and hear directly from storytellers about the impact, consequences, and culturally responsive services that are necessary to help them not just survive unthinkable tragedy but perhaps thrive thereafter it.

This is a free event. Registration is required.
