A Celebration of Black History through Music – Faculty of Music

Join students from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, the Toronto School of Theology and the Faculty of Arts & Science for a musical program featuring African American spirituals, along with traditional and contemporary gospel works, supported by a dynamic gospel rhythm section.

The concert highlights cross-cultural influences and performances that connect Canadian and U.S. gospel and classical music traditions.

The evening also features guest scholar and performer Trineice Robinson-Martin, chair of the ensemble department at Berklee College of Music. Robinson-Martin is the creator of the Soul Ingredients® Methodology and founder of the Soul Ingredients® Voice Studio.

Guest performers include Courtenay Frazer, N.I.F.T.Y. and Tanya Charles.
